If you find you’re bored and feel like there’s nothing to do then you are in luck. There’s always a lot going on in the Katy area. Here is a list of just some of the things coming up that can help keep you occupied.
The Home Décor and Remodeling Show
The Home Décor and Remodeling Show is one of our favorite events. It will be held at the Merrell Center in Katy on August 28 – 29, 2010. This show gives you the opportunity to meet local contractors and store owners to discuss their products and services. Seminars are scheduled throughout the event; check out the schedule to see if there’s a topic you don’t want to miss. I highly recommend you come out to the show if you are in the area. It’s a must see event.
Football Season is Upon Us
Thank goodness! I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it. Football, in case you haven’t noticed, is a big deal in Texas. And it doesn’t get any bigger than here in Katy. It looks like it’s going to be another fantastic season with lots of area schools looking to make a statement and head for the playoffs. Check out the area schedule to see when and where your favorite team is playing.
The 30th Annual Katy Rice Harvest Festival
October is right around the corner, and Halloween isn’t the only thing Katy residents are thinking about. The Katy Rice Harvest Festival happens October 9-10, 2010. If you like street fairs then this is the event for you. Avenues B and C, 2nd and 3rd street will be lined with lots of things to see and experience. Come enjoy the sights, sounds, and tastes that this wonderful event has to offer. There will be live entertainment on two different stages, craft and food booths, a carnival, and so much more.
