There are so many things to consider when you are thinking about buying a home. Finding a home with the right layout, plenty of space in the living area or kitchen, an open kitchen that’s easy to work in, and plenty of storage space…the list of needs versus wants can, at times, seem endless. While all of these are certainly important, there is one thing that should be at the top of everyone’s list. Location, location, location!
This is as true today as the day it was first uttered. Finding the right location is the most important factor to consider when purchasing a new home. Physical characteristics of a home are important, but those characteristics can be changed. Some are simple fixes such as paint or landscaping, others may be a little tougher and more expensive, like a room addition or remodel. But all are capable of being changed. A community’s characteristics will have a major impact on the lifestyle of its residents, their quality of life, and the market value of a home.
